Councillor Sonia Reynolds

I have been elected to GCG Community Council, having served previously over 15 years ago. I am currently the County Borough Councillor for Gwaun Cae Gurwen and Cwmgors. 

I worked alongside Cllr. Arwyn Woolcock County Borough Councillor for Lower Brynamman and Tairgwaith to get the Community Council to take over the Old Glyn School for Community use. This is now owned by GCG Community Council and I am keen to work on GCG Council to get the best use from the building for the Lower Brynamman community. 

I’ve lived with my family in Tairgwaith for 37 years. Our son went to Lots of Tots and then GCG Primary School. I am a founding member of Canolfan Maerdy where I have been involved for 32 years. 

I am committed to working to benefit our communities and am particularly focused on helping our young people at this time.
