Councillor Colin Petrie

My family and I moved to Cwmgors in 2018 and our young son attends the local Welsh medium school.

I was originally born and raised in London but with frequent trips and holidays to Wales and the Rhondda Valley in particular, where my mum was from.

I have a background in IT, working for a London Council, for almost 30 years, supporting, developing and managing their IT systems. I went on to spend the last 10 years as a senior GMB union representative, supporting members across the Council Authority including within schools.
